Barcode is a martini bar. I wanted to give the bar a look that is both modern and fun. I went with the dirty martini theme not only because it’s my alcoholic beverage of choice, but also because I love the simple colors of the drink. The logo has a martini shape cut out of the word barcode and an olive replacing the letter o.
I designed the drink menu in the shape of a cocktail shaker. There is no text on the metallic silver paper. All the text is on the inside piece of paper. I did this so that each time the menu items change, you only have to reprint the small inside piece of paper, not the expensive silver cardstock. I wanted to create a menu that was different from the standard ones you see all the time, so I combined a fun shape with a sleek silver/metallic stock.
These are a series of ads I designed for special events at Barcode. Here you see the ads for Valentines day, Christmas, New Years eve and spring. They would be advertised on the website and local magazines/newspapers.
